Droog Design means "dry design" in Dutch.  It was founded by Renny Ranmakers who began by setting up a foundation with Gijs Bakker in spring of '93. Droog Design has been distinguished by their innovative concepts and contemporary lighting. Their designs have been described in terms of "humor" and "intelligence."

Professional installation is needed. It is a European lamp and CE certifiend and not UL listed. A transformer will be needed to convert the 240 volt into the USA 110 volt wiring. It comes with E14 pygmy size 15watt incandescent bulbs. It can hang 3' to 10' from ceiling.
