Textile softwall expands from the thickness of a book to form a beautiful, translucent white or opaque inky black freestanding wall. It is made from a highly durable polyethylene non-woven textile which is tear and water resistant. Textile softwall can transform a space by creating a dynamic partition or sculptural backdrop and easily be rearranged to adapt a space for changes in use.

The white version of textile softwall is translucent when backlit with natural or electric light, and a luminous, delicate visual effect is created by the fine fibres of the material. The newly available black textile softwall is the opposite. It is opaque and blocks out all light, accentuating the shadows in the vertical pattern of the softwall’s layers. The black textile softwall has been dyed with bamboo charcoal ink although the subtle details of its fine fibres remain apparent.

Textile softwall has a paper-like feeling about it, yet is exceptionally tear-resistant and water-resistant, is easy to handle and maintain, and can be wiped down with a damp cloth. The material and adhesives used are non-toxic, and while it is designed to last a lifetime, the textile material is reusable and recyclable.

The softwall modular system connect together with concealed magnets in an almost seamless way with the vertical joints blending with the rhythm of the vertically pleated structures.

Softwall is sculptural yet fully functional and just simply brilliant design.  That is why it has already won many design awards after debuting in 2005 and is now part of MoMA's permanent collection!

A LED light can be used for the white softwall. It's a flexible LED ribbon light 5 meter long with power supply. The integrated LED lighting turns the white textile softwall + softblock modular system into an amazing source of light. The luminous version of softwall + softblock emphasizes the visual delicacy of the textile fibre making the expansion, contraction and fluid movement of soft all the more magical.
